Good call
degan, adding in the black bits are definitely a nice touch! You should post a photo of the bike like you did in your Trek/Takara "Good Trade" thread, seeing the bike is where it's at... it's a beauty!
I hit up my buddy in Portland about your trade, he didn't have anything, but he did send me this link to a 60cm vintage Trek trade looking for a 56cm. The seller wants a neighborhood cruiser, put some mustache or townie bars on your Trek and talk him into swapping you straight across.

I bought this from a widow after my neighbor passed away. He was a quality buyer but did not use everything he would get. I have decided my back can no longer take a bike like this style so I am looking for a cruiser or a hybrid and would take a decent multi-speed cruiser in part trade, something along the line of a Specialized Sport etc.
About the bike. It is a 1982 model 614. It is a 61 cm (24") bike, so it will fit a taller person. It is the red they came in that year, minor scuffs possibly, but not much. I really need a 56 cm (22") bike.
Features include: Mavic rims, Reynolds Double Frame, Weinmann Carrera Brakes, Campagnolo Shifter Arms, Suntour VX Derailer, Brevete Pedals, Stonglight 3 Piece Crank and a very nice set of GB Aluminum handlebars.
I would not be surprised if they are the original tires, but I really don't know, I just know they hold 90 lbs fine with no cracks or leaks.
If you know treks you know this is a sought after vintage bike.
Trade or cash, or part trade with cash is fine.
Text or phone prior to 10:30 pm and after 8:30 am only please.
If its posted, I still have it.

Good luck
degan, I hope it works out!
Peace,

*mods* I have no vested interest in the link provided nor do I know the seller, I'm just trying to help out a fellow BF member, sorry if I overstepped.
