Heck yes! It's all very functional you know and contributes to an enjoyable ride. The pedals on my flat bar bike are dual purpose, so if I'm out on a greenway ride I'll use the platform side. Road ride, I'll clip in. Also on my greenway rides I'll just wear an athletic shirt and not a jersey and use a frame bag to hold my extra stuff.
