Not so much. I had the original Trek 2000 glued Al road frame back in about 1986. You could have any color you wanted at first, as long as it was cream. A little wine red and silver trim on the decals. Nothing went with it to dress it up. No tape color, no cage colors, no saddle color. You would need to do it custom like your example to get a real good look. It was a real doggie, color wise that is. By and by, I had some under-paint (not underpant) corrosion at the BB, and they gave me a good deal on repainting. Candy apply red. Now that is a bike color.
