Bikes: Trek Emonda SL7, Cannondale Topstone, Miyata City Liner, Specialized Chisel, Specialized Epic Evo
All in the Santa Fe/Taos NM area while mt. biking over 10 summers:
- Rattlesnakes galore in May along the Lamy Single Track. They sun themselves this time of year in the morning.
- A bear in Amole canyon south of Taos, about 50ft up the trail in front of me. As I was solo'ing, I turned around and went the other way.
- A big horn sheep on Tesuque Peak. He was out of his range, which is typically up in the Truchas Peaks area.
- An Elk on the South Boundary Trail up near Taos, popped out of the woods in front of me, popped right back in.
- A hawk that flew alongside me on a dirt road, maybe 5 ft away.
- Coyotes pretty much every ride.
