Nope, no pool or other source of chlorine. This guy also ca, and has, built his own wheels but decided to let the shop do the whole job due to lack of time. The Sapim spokes broke within the first week of (normal) use and he took the wheels back to complain whereupon they replaced the broken spokes (and I'd assume checked all of them). Then right away he had additional spokes break so he brought the wheels back again...by then he was steamed.
IIRC they were not breaking at the "usual weak spots" (like the heads, J-bend or threads) but at random places.
I didn't hear any more complaints so I reckon they got it all sorted by the 3rd round...but now I'm going to follow up with him since I want to present a complete story, here.
