Well, I ended up just going home anyway. I was willing to brave the record rains and 20 to 40 MPH winds, but I didn't eat as well as I should have before and over the course of my 12 hour shift that night, and just riding home my legs felt fatigued. Decided discretion was the better part of valor this time!
