The EVO has narrower nose than regular Romin. In addition, the EVO is angled nose down, and back side a bit up. So when you set up, you simply make sure the middle 1/3 is level. What that does is that you have more of the sit-in feeling, and push off better. The down side is that it does not have lot of positions for you to move around. Probably like you, I have tried them all from Fizik to Selle Italia to SMP to anything you name it, the Romin EVO is by far the best for my rear end. Unfortunately I made a mistake of assuming I am a 143mm (because that's the size I used for a Specialized Toupe) and bought about 5 of these saddles for all my bikes. It turned out I need 155mm for Romin EVO, so I am selling all my 143mm EVO's now.
