Tom, something's got to be wrong with your scale! Also, don't count the lock. For weight of the "bike" I only count what's bolted on. Mine weighs 27 or 28 pounds, including the dynohub, rack, lights (they're bolted on) etc. It's an 83 Trek which I rebuilt from a frameset (you know the one, you rode it!) When I add a water bottle and a saddlebag with a tool roll and a lock, etc, I'm sure it goes up 10 pounds.
