For what it's worth, I'm very happy with my CF Colnago. While I do care somewhat on how the bike looks, I rather have a comfortable ride than an aesthetic looking bike. I had an aluminum road bike and rode a borrowed titanium bike before buying my Colnago. The Colnago rides much better than any of the other bikes I've tried. Thus the saying, "To each his own!" I also don't think seeing welds all over the bike is very pleasing to the eye.
