Is it possible to have both? [function and beauty]. Carbon bikes are interesting. The builder of my Landshark, John Slawta, now only builds carbon. He is really an artist and his bikes, including his carbon bikes, are beautiful. I personally prefer the classic lines of my bike but understand why people like the "racy" look of carbon bikes but.... I don't get that ugly oversize steerer tube... the function was explained to me but I suspect its just a way for manufacturers to force people to buy new bikes.

I believe my bike the way it was built is extremely comfortable plus very responsive; I am very happy with it and can't see riding anything else.
