The rattler, one of several bald eagles I have seen and horseshoe crabs engaged in their prehistoric mating ritual. Some others (not pictured) came to mine, including many great blue herons, loons, sand hill cranes and a huge jackrabbit. The rabbit was one of my favorites. I was riding east towards Wolf Point, MT. On my right was a fallow field. I let out a loud sneeze and saw something kick up and dash away. At first I thought it was a small deer or a large dog. But then I noticed the tall ears and the huge rear feet.
