I don't get the point of the OP. What difference does it make if the saddle is or is not "worn out" whatever that means? If it isn't comfortable, you shouldn't be riding it. Get a new one. The only justification I can see for asking is to get justification for the new saddle. OP, perhaps you are really frugal and can't stand the idea of throwing away any residual utility in the saddle. There is no tread meter for a saddle so you can see it is time to replace it. There can be many reasons for replacing a saddle: looks, wear, rusted rails, broken rails, torn cover, on and on. But for most people discomfort is justification enough whether the discomfort is due to the age of the saddle or just its design and fit.
