With Brooks saddles its really important that they be broken in. I have a Swift that is one of the more comfortable saddles I've ridden, but a B17 on my Paramount finally beat it out. I have a Pro on my main road machine; it too is pretty comfortable but I broke it in differently from the others. First I gave it a good mink oil treatment, then I covered it with cloth and beat it for several minutes with a rubber mallet. Its been well-behaved ever since.
I was nervous about buying used Brooks saddles for a long time. Recently I've had good luck though, by treating them with excessive mink oil (if dried out) and in some cases, putting straps around them to hold their form when the bike is not being ridden.
I also have a Selle Anatomica which I did not like for a long time but is now really nice- as good as the Swift. Either is perfectly at home on a road or racing machine. If you are riding a more upright position (no dropped bars) a B72 or B66 seems a better choice. If you get along good with your Brooks its likely you will never go back to anything else.
