For sub $20, it could be a good deal. Question is if the chamois has gotten so much use that it has broken down. Wash them and go ride them. If they feel good, it was a good buy. If after a ride you feel that the pad doesn't feel like it is doing much, you wasted $16.50. No big deal.
FINALLY someone has some common sense.
It's called not having a lot of money and being a college student.
Besides, like you said it was just sixteen dollars, jeez.
Anyway, yeah I'm hoping the padding is ok, but to be honest bought them more for the fact that these won't fall down like my cycling shorts I have. It doesn't bug me all too much if the padding isn't that great.
