When I got in, I had to take my foot out of the shoe which is now still stuck in the pedal. Upon inspection, it appears the cleat bolts loosened so when I twist, it just moves and I can't create enough force to remove it.

I need to manually get the pedal to release so I can take the shoe out and screw the cleat down again. Does anyone know how I can do this?
Loosen the "retaining" bolt on the pedal to release the tension on the cleat and you should be able to wrestle it out of there.
