Looking at the distance of the crankarm ends to the frame chainstays, it doesnt seem to me that the +5mm offsett spacer was needed, looks like the crank arms would be better centered with the frame without the spacer and there appears to be sufficient clearance for the inner chainring to come over. You might try re-installing without the spacer, see how it centers. You could also likely use the NDS lockring from your old original loose-ball bottom bracket as a thinner spacer on the drive side if you need one less than 5mm. (Works for italian and french thread since both sides are right hand thread).

Seems odd that the NDS BB cup sticks so far out from the shell face, particularly since the +5 spacer should have moved the cartridge further over toward drive side, is there a spacer between the NDS cup and the cartrtridge too? You might still need to torque the NDS cup down tighter so it is further into the frame, perhaps cup is not snug against the cartridge. On a Italian BB, the NDS cup needs to be tight so it doesnt loosten with pedaling procession forces.
