Hetchins Scorpion Bonham Curly Stays - $1600 (Medford)

I have a very sweet mid 80's Hetchins Scorpion Bonham for sale. Serial # is 81046 which puts it in the Bob Jackson build era. Frame is measures in the English standard 23 inch and has curly chain and seat stays. List of components include Phil Wood 7 speed freewheel rear hub and matching front laced to Mavic Open Pro rims with Grand Bois 28mm tires. TA 175mm crankset with 48x36 chainrings. Dura Ace front and rear derailleurs, 7 speed downtube index shifters, seatpost and brake calipers. Nitto handlebars and stem, Stronglight headset, Ideale model 80 saddle, Brooks leather bar wrap, and painted SKS Longboard fenders. Frame, fork, chain & seatstays constructed from Reynolds 531C tubing which is a very light tubeset. There are some scratches on the frame under the top tube and on the left fork leg, but no dents or dings. The bike rides beautifully and is stunning to look at, and at this price a steal! Price does not include pedals and saddlebag, but they are negotiable.
It's difficult to tell in the photos but the paint looks rough. a lot of paint issues, who knows about the components condition but if the paint is beat up it's an indicator that the components possibly would not be far behind. Are these Hitchens in beat up condition worth $1600 now?
