Deep carbon rims typically only show a 1-2 minute advantage over box sections for an hour of riding. Since OP is looking for training wheels I think it would be pretty foolish to worry about the plus or minus 15 seconds that different 'semi aero' aluminum clinchers might give relative to each other.
