I specifically ordered my shoes via Amazon for this reason...free shipping, free returns (at least if you have Amazon Prime). I actually did have to return the first pair because they were too small. I usually wear an 8-1/2 but the Shimano SH-MT33G shoes in 42 were too small, and had to go to a 43. My recommendation would be to order both your regular size and a size up and just plan on sending back the one that doesn't fit, if you want to buy online.
