Hi Everybody,
I'm a new member, and was hoping some of you guys might be willing to help me out w/ suggestions for a build.
I hoping to build out an Unknown Lv2, 58 cm 6061 aluminum frame. I plan on using 700c wheels(F:100mm; R:120mm) w/ a flipflop hub. I'm also trying to stick with a dark blue color scheme. There isn't much other info out there on the frame specs, but what I could figure out are the following:
Fork & Headset Info: "1-1/8" Integrated Headtube. Compatible with the Unknown headset, FSA Impact Internal, or any other Campagnolo Style 45*/45* stack headset"
--Questions:
-- Can anyone recommend a carbon or 6061 aluminum fork to fit 100mm 700C wheels w/ caliper brake option? (preferably blue)
-- I'm not sure if the headset options are the
only compatible headsets. I think the compatible options are threadless, but I was thinking about splurging on a Chris King 1 1/8" Threadless headset. Would a king headset still work? If not, can anyone recommend a "compatible" headset?
-- Given the Fork and headset specifications, I will probably need a threadless stem and not a quill stem, correct?
Bottom Bracket Info: 68mm, english threaded bottom brackets.
--Questions:
--The 68mm English seems to be the standard, and I was hoping to find a mid-range BB, but not really sure which to buy. Suggestions?
--And, I was hoping to buy was a
Retrospec 44t single chain ring. Can any of you suggest what size axel/spindle I might need? From what I've been reading, 109mm seem most common.
--Also, I live in Santa Cruz, which is both very hilly and flat in parts and I plan on riding a lot if that changes anything...
Am I missing any other components? I plan on figuring out cogs, lock rings, seat, brakes, handlebars, pedals, straps, housing later.
For what it's worth, the only other example of an LV2 build that list specifics is
here.
Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate the help and advice.
Best,
Al
