Raleigh Sprite Ten Speed - Taiwanese??

I just picked up a pair of matching ten speed Raleigh Sprites. Nice enough bikes - paid under $100 for the pair. I searched the internet to try and determine age and lineage but always came up with a dead end. The frame serial numbers are F80Dxxxx.

Sun Tour shifters, Raleigh derailleurs, Kinlin 27" rims, Raleigh hubs. Stem, handlebars and brake levers are aluminum.
The ladies frame is a Mixte.

The underside of the Raleigh saddle had made in Taiwan.

I have to say, both are nice riding, comfortable bikes - maybe nicer than my Raleigh Sports

I really suspect these are Taiwanese bike. Can somebody confirm this?
