Decided to take my build out for some gravel grinding (at times more like river rock pounding).
Without its shifter, it ran as a single speed 42x15. It will run 1x6 with a 14-30t HG freewheel and 105 RD. The 92 Hardrock Cruz rode well. But the front tire proved to be defective with a flat spot that was annoying at speed. Ride report here:
