3 in 1 may be fine, but I'm a bit finicky about oil. I prefer a straight mineral oil, like Singer sewing machine oil or something similar. If you have one, any of the oil based chain oils (phil's, Chain-L, Pedros Synlube, or Finish Line cross country) are fine.

Do not over oil or it'll pour out the seals and make a mess.
