I have two of those. It seems like the batteries are the critical piece and there's no way to predict if you'll get a good battery or a bad battery. One of the batteries I have cuts out over bumps, when it gets hot or anytime you actually need the light. The other stays on most of the time.

But neither of them work half as well as my NiteRider Lumina 700. The CREEs put out a very narrow beam. The Lumina lights up the whole road in front of me.

For a red blinky, I just use the Planet Bike "3". It takes AAA batteries, runs for a long time and was only $10.
