The Tektro is a dual pivot design, where the bulldog is a single pivot. The cost to try the Tekto is low (~$30), the challenges are not difficult to overcome, and they are well rated on Amazon. If you decide to go that route, just make sure that you get the brake with the proper reach for the bike.
