carbon fiber chain guards are out there.. FSA for one http://www.bikeman.com/CR4021.html

Less bashable than what logjumping MTB's use .. .

the one in the 9th post, has most of the aluminum cut away.. so weighs less than the chainring it replaces..

save weight get 12oz beers instead, of 16s.. ?
