There is no official hand signal for going straight but what I do is, with my left hand and first 2 fingers, I make a clear gesture of tapping the left-front of my chest twice and then, like "shooting a gun", I "shoot" twice in the direction I'm going, ie straight. I'm assuming that the people I'm gesturing for understand because there hasn't been any incidents.
You might want to fully take the lane, just like a car that is going through would do so, that might help.
Normally I would take the lane, but at this stop that would block cars turning right on red which is what the majority do at this intersection. That would make ME feel like a jerk and I'm sure the sentiment would be shared. I'm pretty sure she knew where I was headed and didn't want to wait the 3-5 seconds it would have taken to pass safely. She certainly didn't mind blocking up the right turn only lane. EDIT: I should say "blocking people from turning right on red". The lane is straight/right turn.
