EDelux shipped outside of Germany does not need the reflector.
the one you got complies with that regulation, thats why it's so tall .. This is the light my LBS carries, I knew it was designed as a fork mount when I bought it. I didn't want to order one.

( and happen to have a shop to make stuff ..) I don't know what this is referring to?

better than the average Bodge.. you could have mounted it lower, .. What does Bodge mean? If I mounted it lower it would get covered in road grime and gunk a lot faster in the winter time.
