A saddle like the slr is very deceiving. It doesn't have traditional padding, but the shell has a lot of flex to it. The actual seating platform is also wider (flatter) than some saddles that look more substantial. If I sit on a turbo it feels narrow because the seating surface has a noticeable radius.
For me, the reasons an slr is comfortable don't manner as much as the fact that it is. I'm sure others feel the same or they wouldn't be able to ask for them what they do.
