Bikes: See my sig...

My Extrabike weighs 50 pounds before I add any gear... the panniers are included in that base weight and this goes up if I add the electric assist (plus 30 pounds) or kit it out for winter with studded tyres but it still spins up rather quickly and with the electric assist I can drop most cyclists and pace cars in traffic.

I am not sure what my Moulton weighs when it is kitted out but it must sit in the mid to upper 30's.... despite that I often find myself spinning out the top gear so will be bumping that up a little with a rear cog change.

If I decide to run light I can take one of my road bikes which weighs 21 pounds or one of my mountain bikes which are sub 24 pounds and use a backpack to carry my gear.

The Moulden XC makes commuting really fun... with the tail bag carrying the spare and battery pack for the lights it is still under 25 pounds and wickedly fast.
