Yeah, yeah, I know it's not that big a deal to cover the saddle on days that it rains, but I'm a convenience freak and I know I'll forget to cover it.
Do you store your bike outside? A Brooks will be fine if you're riding in the rain...but yes, they aren't rain friendly if you'll be leaving them outside without a cover (I use a plastic shopping bag that I just stick up in the saddle rails when it's not in use).
Otherwise, it's: cheap, comfortable, durable - choose two.
