A bat-wielding elderly man is caught on video engaging cyclist after he allegedly brake-checked one of the riders and caused an accident. 74-Year-Old Sherman Ralph Clark can be seen after the incident already occurred now outside his stopped vehicle holding a bat while the cyclists calling police.
One of the men asks the Clark, "Why are you holding the bat?" to which Clark replies "To protect myself". Before anything could get resolved, Clark proceeds to get back into his vehicle and leaves the scene of the accident and in doing so, also runs over one of the $5,000 bikes in front of his car.
"The driver attacked with his vehicle a team ride. The riders were not taking up the road and the vehicle had plenty of room to move around them. The vehicle proceeded to go in front of them and slow down to their speed and slammed on the breaks thereby causing them to crash and stop. The driver proceeded to step out of the vehicle with a bat. what you see is the aftermath of the confrontation. Be kind to riders -- we are parents, fathers, mothers, spouses, sons, daughter, and many of us have children."
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office arrived and Clark was arrested for criminal mischief -- $1,500 to $20,000 and for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
