I've never bent a Campy NR axle on 124-126 mm spacing. The wheelset on my commuter that I got from my brother had 1st gen DA hubs in it and the rear was bent (at 126mm spacing, not sure who changed that from the original 120mm I believe). Not by me, I noticed it before I had ever really ridden it. I weigh max 190-ish (currently 182). My brother is the same, maybe a bit lighter. Just a data point, but leads me to believe some axles are tougher than others.
