I was led to believe that I could use my Garmin HRM2-SS heart rate strap with a Garmin ANT usb stick that I plug into my computer, and collect HR data while on my trainer for use on TrainerRoad or other apps like Garmin Connect. For that matter, the cadence/speed sensor on my bike is also ANT+, so shouldn't the USB stick pick that up as well?

At any rate, the Garmin ANT Agent software (that runs through the USB stick) doesn't see the HRM (I haven't tried the cadence sensor yet).

Someone on another forum mentioned that to do what I want to do would require some other third party software, or one of the Garmin HR watches. This doesn't seem right - I thought I was going to be able to use the HRM directly with the USB stick. Am I wrong? Is there some way to get this to work?
