Personally, I like how steel feels. My Aluminum/Carbon fork Trek felt harsh and blah. My Giordana (steel frame & fork) weighs ~20lb, which is less than the Trek, and rides super smoothly for such a fast bike.
About 20lbs? Give or take what, 2-3lbs? Have you actually weighed it? That saddle alone must weigh north of 1lb, plus the quill stem, old school QRs...
