Last night's ride home was nice, albeit, against a headwind. I saw a coyote run across the highway in front of me, never seen one in the wild before.

This morning's ride also was interesting: I got a rear tire flat after 8km of the 25km ride into work, on a bare stretch of highway at 7:05, well before the sun is over the horizon so I had to walk 3km (2mi) to the nearest mall to get a ride from my son (I also forgot to pack a pump but I would have had to walked the bike most of the 3km to get to a set of street lights to see what I was doing).

Today, I was supposed to announce at the end of the ride that I had completed 4,000 km of biking this year but, as I was composing the message in my head, pffffft, my tire flatted. Shucks!!! Oh well, when I fix the tire, I'll go for a ride and be able to make that announcement later.
