Firstly, if you are unaware, there is a Folding Bikes forum here where you'll find a wealth of knowledge from folding bike enthusiasts and dealers.
Second, current, or new, Speed P8s are spec'd per Dahon's website as having their Neos shifter (w/ Dahon logo), which yours is. It appears you have the newest shifter available.
Finally, I do not think there is any purpose in trying to get the older SRAM shifter; I think it would be a waste of time and effort. You have the newest equipment, and I'd consider that an upgrade. Opinions may vary on this, of course; maybe some are thinking of backwards compatibility or something, or maybe all would agree it's better. Who knows, but if you care, it'd be a question perfect for the Folding Bikes forum.
