Part of the problem is that it seems like the Courier font only shows in the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the screen. If you switch to the "Advanced" reply screen, it only shows the formatting code for the Courier font, and not the actual font itself i.e. WYSIWYG. So it's more difficult to keep it formatted in that situation.
Is there any reason you need to use the Advanced mode? I always post using the Quick Reply box without any problem.
