That quation is way to open. It from a value perspective it would just come down to which group is worth more. A record 11 equipped frame will be worth more than 7400, but a dura 9000 build will be worth more than 8spd record. If you are comparing equal age/value groups, the bike with Campagnolo will probably bring a little more.
i really don't see any reason not to go Campagnolo. About the only exception I can make is an 80s-early 90s frame with 7400. 7400 was when racers started taking shimano seriously. It was used on a lot of Italian bikes of the era.
you didn't hear it from me, but a tommasini super prestige with a Chris king headset, Chris king hubs, dt Swiss 440 rims, dt Swiss revolution spokes, trp rrl brake levers, and a down tube 7402 group would be a sublime mixing pot of parts.
