I'm not usually a fan of concrete trail surfaces with their expansion joints. Makes me feel like I'm riding on a sidewalk.
The place where you turned around looks to be where the real trail starts.
You are not going to like the 100's of miles of trails in the metro area, then. They are all cement. It doesn't bother me a bit. They replace or grind down any "jolting" joints. Best stay away from Denver!!
