Main thing to watch out on Diablo is cars passing cyclists going uphill. Every time I go up there's usually 1 car who decides to pass a cyclist on a blind corner by crossing into the opposite lane. I'd hate to see someone become a hood ornament on a Honda.
I did end up as a hood ornament due to this... heading down right before I got to the junction. I am nowhere near as nervous on the NG or SG descent, but from the summit the road seems narrower so always watch for impatient drivers.
