These Raleighs were made in Taiwan, and are excellent bicycles. I have one that is a notch or two up the scale of their '85 touring offerings, and it is a superb bike.
Taiwan? Taiwan did have some great metallurgy and they used the old wax cast method to make the lugs...hmm, perhaps I was wrong I would have looked at that bike closer if it were in my neck of the woods.
