A530 don't grip too well - if you tend to slip on ordinary platforms, you will slip on these too. For proper grip you need studs. Wellgo R120B are the only pedals I know of that offer a studded platform on one side and SPD clipless on the other...
Thanks for letting me know about the studded platform pedals! I never knew such pedals existed. If that's the case, I may just go with a pair of full studded pedals (i.e. on both sides) instead of dual-side pedals.

One last question. Do you think those studs make the pedals less slippery even with cycling shoes?
