I'm starting to think about moving. I moved to my present location only 14 months ago. I thought I would love it here because it's so close to work. But there were four shootings near my house this summer, and a bad mugging right on my corner. It's gotten to where I don't like to even go out after dark unless I'm getting a ride in a car.

My last neighborhood was great. I lived a short block from the river, and two blocks from an artsy-fartsy district. After dinner walks were so beautiful, and the Rivertrail was two minutes away--a great motor-free trail system that led to most of my favorite destinations for shopping and recreation. There was definitely a strong sense of community. I hope I can move back there before too long.
