I've included these other modes of transportation in my discussion-- or, rather, my refusal to actually discuss this goofy per-mile cost concept. Even with the bus, there's too many factors. Sure, it costs $1.50 or whatever per ride, but when it comes late and you miss the transfer and you're really late to work and they fire you--- well, you've got to find some way to figure all of that lost income into the per mile cost of the bus.

Of course, if losing your job due to bus worries prompts you to find a better job, then I guess you gotta find a way to figure out how to factor the raise into the per mile costs....

OTOH, you might just want to decide whether or not the bus is working for you, and, if it is, then just pay the fare and deal with it, right?
