Sorry, I should have mentioned that earlier. 27" x 1 1/4
I wouldn't say there's "bags of room" with those wheels/tires, but another quick eyeball puts the gap at over an inch. I can't tell for sure since I've already coldset the frame, so now the original wheels won't fit anymore either.
