If you ride your bike at 5 to 10 mph you can probably take a chance on your tires. I ride down hills at 30 mph plus and therefore care about my tires and tire balance and never chance the condition of my tires. I also look and the wear indicators and change my tires accordingly. I rarely get a flat because my tires are high quality tire Conti tires. I don't ride and fixxe or wear a fedora instead of helmet. I guess I am just a old square nervous Nellie.
