Bikes: Too many Bicycles to list

Help IDing Vintage Mystery Bike, French ? Cyclocross?

Hey Guys & Gals
I picked up a Bike off of CL Saturday and was hoping that one or more of you could help shed some light as to what it may be. The Bike was listed as a Motobecane 5spd Racer, while I don't think it's a Moto it may be French or Belgium as the head tube lugs do say BCM on them. The frame was stripped & painted a long time ago by the looks of it and I am not sure what if any of the parts are original. I took some pictures yesterday and did spend some time poking around the inter web coming up blank so I thought I would ask the good people here at C&V that have way more knowledge about vintage road bikes then I do. I appreciate all the help I can get & thank you.

Some of the details & components with pictures and a link to more.
