The evening commute was problematic. I liked the cooler weather. However I was going up Allen Street and two hipsters decided they were going to totally run the red light on Delancey. They both came with in three feet of hitting me. I usually don't say anything but I felt obligated to point out that this is a very dangerous intersection and they probably shouldn't be running it. They looked at each other like the thought never occurred to them. Seems like there are a lot of salmon out there and a lot of people without lights on. Is it they don't realize it gets darker earlier in the winter? Also First Ave bike lane seemed to be full of homeless people pushing carts.
