Long story short - You can find a lot better bike with better components for a lot less money than Trek.
It's the same reason I don't drive a Honda; and what's really bad Harley Davidsons have gone the same route, so many people have them that their no longer special just another Honda.
And yes you can find a better bike with better components than a Trek for less money. Someone has to pay for all that advertising and pro sports teams sponsorships...guess who that might be?
